Why should I hire a professional videographer to produce my wedding day video memory?
A professional wedding videographer can eliminate the risk of missed or unacceptable video
captured by inexperienced friends, or relatives that can be totally overwhelmed with a daunting task
at best. They have little experience, and typically own and use consumer grade equipment, ending up
producing poor quality video while not being able to relax and enjoy your event. Keep in mind that
there is one, and only one, chance to do it right and there is no going back. Seasoned
professionals produce and edit a complete precious story full of beautiful moments that you are
emotionally moved by, and will desire to watch over and over again, for the rest of your life.
This wedding video story is a highly polished piece that you are proud to share with others and
future generations. Think of wedding video as an heirloom…91.4% of surveyed brides concur that this
is the most important reason to hire a pro!
How important is a professionally produced wedding video?
Suppose a friend told you they had in one hand a book of professional photographs of the
day your grandparents were married, and in the other hand a professionally produced video of that
same day, in full color with stereo sound, but that you could only choose one to view and keep as a
family heirloom. Which would you choose? Only DVD and video will allow everyone to relive your
wedding day as it actually happened. Today the videographer is as natural a part of the wedding as
the photographer.
What do the statistics and bridal surveys say about wedding video?
Statistics bear out year after year, that 65% of brides and grooms that chose to not
professionally capture their day, wished that they had afterward. Before the wedding 54% of brides
rank wedding video in the top ten most important wedding services and after the wedding that number
increases to 79%.

there’s a 1 in 2 chance they’ll live to regret it.
How do you find and cultivate a trusting relationship with a qualified professional
videographer?
Best place to start is a personal referral from a satisfied client…another good place to start is
a great website, sample video demo, print ads and brochures. Make appointments, visit and talk to
them about their style, creativity, training, experience, personality, philosophy, whether the
videographer is full-time and dedicated or not, are they caring about you the customer, and do they
have exceptional organization skills.

months in advance in order to reserve a slot on their calendar.
Can Final Take Productions produce and present custom made life/love story montages/slide
shows?
Montage/slide shows are a special feature for Final Take Productions for most of our weddings.
We work hand in hand with couples to create an entertaining, memorable piece that we can add to your
video and present to your wedding guests at the ceremony, rehearsal, or during the reception. We
own, rent, set-up and take down all of the gear at less than half of the going rate for this service
if booked with us.
How long will the finished products be and how long will it take to get the finished
products?
Currently, video technology (DVD or VHS video) that can be enjoyed in the home, only allows 2
hours of content. At Final Take Productions our edited products can range from 1 hour to 2 hours.
Our two top packages allow 2 DVD’s or tape sets with no up charge as a part of these packages for a
more thorough documentary coverage. We produce short form highlight montages from 10 -15 minutes in
length also.
Our turnaround on finished products ranges from 2-3 weeks in the low season to 4-5 weeks in the
busy season.
What kind of equipment do you operate with?
Professional low light capable 3-chip digital video cameras and tripods, industrial UHF wireless
microphones and mini-disc recorders with microphones, professional LCD projector/8’x8’screen/sound
amplifier, DVD player, and Emmy award winning digital editing software programs like Final Cut Pro
and DVD Studio Pro.
How are sound and lighting issues handled out at the event sites?
We record 3 soundtracks during every ceremony….always a back-up available. We use 1 lux,
extremely low light capable cameras, but since video thrives on light, we carry on-camera low
wattage lights that are very unobtrusive in extreme low light situations. We use lights only when
the quality of the captured video is compromised.
